Greece -– a well-known tourist destination famous for itsrich culture, wondrous islands, and top-notch cuisine. It’s a country worth visiting and I feel grateful that I got to visit three of the best islands of the country last year, namely Zakynthos, Santorini, and Mykonos.
If you’re heading to these islands anytime soon, keep reading to get an idea of what to expect and know where to go. Here are the highlights of my trip:
1. Zakynthos
My trip to the island of Zakynthos few months ago was definitely memorable and worth remembering. For those of you not familiar with this Greek island, Zakynthos is situated in the Ionian Sea and is best known for its white sand beaches, caves, and rich history.
To start of, we stayed in Artina Villa, a luxury villa in Zakynthos. I definitely enjoyed my stay there because it is tucked away in a quiet mountainous area. The villa also has the comfiest and luxurious rooms that made our stay even more special. This luxury villa in Zante is perfect for big families.
When it comes to activities on the other hand, there are plentiful of activities to do in the island –- from renting a yacht, strolling around villages, doing wine tasting, and unwinding in beaches. You shouldn’t miss visiting Navagio Beach, Keri Caves, Zante Town, and Dafni Beach.
2. Santorini
Santorini is famous for its whitewashed villages, amazing views, and breathtaking sunsets. If you’re planning to visit Santorini, be sure to explore Fira, Oia, and Pyrgos. You will easily fall in love with the said villages filled with exquisite boutiques and incredible restaurants serving the best Greek meals.
During our stay in Santorini, we rented out a medium-sized Airbnb apartment for 8 people. It was very convenient for us because it was nearby restaurants, shops, and transportation terminals.
3. Mykonos
Mykonos is also popular for its marvelous beaches and vibrant nightlife. I will never forget strolling around the beautiful town of Mykonos and touring the incredible tourist spots there. If you need suggestions on where to go, you should visit Super Paradise Beach, Elia Beach, and Kato Mili.
